A woman who was arrested for failing to scan items at a Clermont Walmart said the theft was a “misunderstanding,” according to an affidavit filed by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Tenneille Rahming, 27, was charged with petty shoplifting after the incident occurred on August 14 at the store located at 550 US Highway 27.

The woman from the Bahamas was using Walmart’s self-checkout line when surveillance camera footage captured her stacking numerous items of clothing on top of each other and scanning only one or two of the products, officials said.
