SALISBURY, NC, Aug. 8, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Food Lion Feeds is responding to the needs of neighbors affected by Tropical Storm Debby by providing bottled water and snacks. The donation will benefit neighbors in North Carolina who may be affected by flooding or power outages. In support of the American Red Cross and several county and state-operated shelters, Food Lion Feeds delivered a truckload of 19 pallets of water and more than 12,000 units of Food Lion sandwich crackers and breakfast bars. The Food Lion-branded bottled water represents more than 40,000 pounds, or nearly 4,000 gallons. Food Lion Feeds was founded by Food Lion in 2014 to combat food insecurity in the cities it serves.
