Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly, who famously lambasted Trump, ironically calls foul: “Biased, unfair” debate

Former Fox host and current right-wing podcaster Megyn Kelly – famous for her pointed questions of Donald Trump in his first presidential debate in 2015 – ironically criticized ABC for its tough questions of Trump on abortion, democracy and the economy during Tuesday’s presidential debate.

During the 90 minutes, Trump was questioned on his veracity by moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis.

“These moderators are a shameful failure and this is one of the most biased and unfair debates I have ever seen,” Kelly tweeted. “Shame on you.”

Kelly’s comments echoed the whining about the poll on social media in the MAGA world.

Sarah Longwell, a pollster and Republican never-Trumper, tweeted: “You know Trump is dying from how much MAGA whines about the refs.”

In that first debate, Kelly, a Fox News host, confronted Trump about misogynistic, sexist comments he had made against women, pointing out that he had referred to his victims as “fat pigs, dogs, sluts and disgusting animals.” Trump sharply criticized Kelly, saying her questions were “ridiculous” and “inappropriate.”

The next day, Trump described it to CNN: “You could see blood coming out of her eyes. Blood was coming out of her everywhere.”

It’s a strange relationship.

Trump sharply criticized Kelly in September 2023, calling her “nasty,” just days after conducting an extensive interview with her: “She was, you know, boy, she suddenly got even more evil. She was pretty evil, everyone who saw that thought.”

Kelly pressed Trump about his handling of classified documents after he left the White House, pointing out that his lawyers had signed off on turning over everything requested in the subpoena, but federal agents then found even more classified materials.

“I don’t know the timing. I would have to check that too,” Trump said. “I just don’t know the timing. I just know that I’m allowed to have these documents.”

“But once you get a subpoena, you have to deliver it,” Kelly said.
