Four people stabbed to death after men ‘attempted to enter east London restaurant with knife’

Four men were injured when armed men attempted to break into a restaurant in east London in the early hours of Saturday.

At around 3.45am, police were called to the scene in Romford Road, Forest Gate, following reports of a group of men armed with knives attempting to break into a restaurant.

Newham City Council has named the restaurant the Bronze Royale African Bar.

The officers found three men, all of whom had suffered “superficial” stab wounds.

A short time later, they received another call reporting that a man had been found with stab wounds further down the road, near the junction with Sprowston Road.

“Officers arrived and found a man with a stab wound to the leg – he was taken to hospital where he remains,” the Met said in a statement on Sunday.

No arrests have been made, but police are conducting “urgent” investigations and crime scenes were still in place on Sunday.

The London Ambulance Service sent three vehicles to the scene of the accident.

“We were called to a stabbing incident on Romford Road, Forest Gate, at 3.43am on August 10.”

“We sent ambulance crews, an operations manager and a paramedic in an emergency vehicle to the scene of the accident.”

“Our teams treated three people on site and transported one of them to a major trauma center.”
