My name is Parker and I teach parkour to kids almost every day at an amazing kids gym, Urban Youth Park. My life’s goal is to spread the joy of parkour. Here’s my latest venture…

A family I have been mentoring for several years will be opening a school next year! The Free Kids Academy will be a kindergarten through 8th grade school opening in January 2025. They want to provide a space for the children to fully develop creatively, spiritually and academically. Their weekly activities include blocks of time for meditation, movement, life skills, art, music, math, cooking, yoga, drama, reading and writing and more. They have just enough money left to finish their building, parking lot and fence, but they need some help with the play area. In addition to other play equipment, the owners would like to build a PARKOUR PARK if we can raise the funds for it!

There will be three large signs in the Parkour Park offering challenges and illustrated tutorials to go with each piece of equipment. The signs will also have QR codes that lead to warm-ups, tips, tricks, additional challenges and demonstrations. Not only will these blocks be used for catching and the floor will be lava like any old playground, but there will be some learning involved. I have designed the tutorials so that the kids will safely learn a range of parkour skills. We will also be holding community events here where myself and other parkour coaches can teach the kids in person.

To my knowledge, this parkour park has never been built before and I am convinced that this and similar designs will be used in schools and parks around the world in the future. Please support this project and the start of something great!
