Friday’s MLB odds, best bets: pitching duels, playoff predictions and more

It’s Friday and we have a full schedule of 15 Major League Baseball games. Apple TV is showing two Friday Night Baseball games: the Cincinnati Reds vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates at 6:40 p.m. ET and the St. Louis Cardinals vs. the Minnesota Twins at 8:10 p.m. ET. We have betting predictions for these and all other games today.

Powered by Derek Carty’s THE BAT X, the tables below provide up-to-date MLB odds, predictions, best bets and top picks every day.

Carty’s EV Analytics takes everything from the best odds value to the lines with the most movement into account. Below the game predictions, you’ll find updated projected records for all 30 MLB teams, as well as playoff and World Series probabilities. All odds shown are from BetMGM.

What are THE BAT X projections?

Check out the tables below for details on each MLB matchup and plenty of numbers (updated throughout the day):

  • “Money line” shows the odds of each team on BetMGM.
  • “Implicit profit percentage” is the chance of a team winning based on these BetMGM odds.
  • “THE BAT X Profit%” is a team’s chance of winning based on EV Analytics’ predictions.
  • “Cash line” This is how THE BAT X would evaluate the odds of each team.
  • “Value” is the percentage difference between the odds and our forecasts.

The higher the value percentage, the better – you can easily see this from the color coding from red (bad choice) to green (good choice).

Note: On mobile, you may need to scroll to see the color-coded Value column on the far right of the first set of tables.

One more note: If you are seeing old data or the tables are not displaying, you may need to “hard refresh” this page or you may be using an ad blocker or other software that is blocking the tables from loading.
