Drivers on Highway 101 should expect lane closures when traveling through Menlo Park this coming weekend. According to Caltrans, only one lane will be closed, but traffic disruptions and delays are still possible.
The closure will begin around 10 p.m. on Friday, August 9th and will last until around 5 a.m. on Monday, August 12th. Work this coming weekend will take place around the Marsh Road intersection. Caltrans and the City of Menlo Park anticipate that this intersection will also be affected by closures the following two weekends, depending on the progress of the project.
Caltrans and Menlo Park also expect lane closures at the Willow Road interchange during the first two weekends of September.
This lane closure is part of nine planned weekend lane closures being implemented to expedite construction under the State Highway Operation and Protection Plan along the busy 101 corridor. As part of this project, Caltrans is resurfacing this section of Highway 101, improving the median guardrail, replacing loop detectors, updating markings, and installing new rumble strips and signage.
