Gas Equipment Co. (GEC) has opened its newest location in Mankato, Minnesota.

The new sales office and warehouse, which will serve Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin, will further expand access to equipment and provide better support to customers in the region.
The Mankato location offers a comprehensive line of LPG, NH3 and industrial gas equipment and parts.

Team members at the new location include:
- Travis Peek, customer service manager, who previously worked as a store manager and parts manager.
- Brenda Hansen, a customer service representative who has extensive customer service experience in similar industries.
- Jacob Sonnek, warehouse employee with three years of experience in the warehouse area.
Each team member has completed training on GEC practices and equipment to ensure they are fully prepared to meet customer needs on-site.
A grand opening celebration will be held at the Mankato location on Tuesday, September 10th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Customers are invited to meet the Minnesota team, tour the new location and enjoy food, drinks and prizes. GEC is a warehouse distributor of in-process, transfer and control equipment for oil and gas producers, transporters and LPG marketers. The company was founded in Dallas in 1937 by Milt LaDue. It remained owned by the LaDue family until 2020, when it became part of Makeen Energy. GEC is currently headquartered in Carrollton, Texas and operates 10 warehouse branches in the Central, Southern and Eastern United States.
