Gas prices in the Lower Atlantic region have been stable since last week: Here’s how high they are

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, regional gasoline prices remained unchanged last week, averaging $3.30 per gallon of regular gasoline on Monday, the same as the previous week when the price was $3.30 per gallon.

The average fuel price in the Lower Atlantic region has fallen by about 7 cents since last month. According to the EIA, gasoline prices across the region last year were as low as $2.88 on December 18, 2023, and as high as $3.66 on August 7, 2023.

A year ago, the average price of gasoline in the Lower Atlantic region was ten percent higher at $3.66 per gallon.

The average price of gasoline in the United States last week was $3.45, putting prices in the Lower Atlantic region about 4.3 percent below the national average. The average national price of gasoline is down from last week’s average of $3.48 per gallon.

Prices for the Lower Atlantic states, as determined by the US Energy Information Administration, include Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
