Gasoline prices in Eastern Wisconsin have fallen sharply

Gasoline prices in Eastern Wisconsin have fallen sharply

For only the second time since early June, gasoline prices in eastern Wisconsin fell last week.

According to AAA’s gasoline price website, the average price per gallon of fuel in Manitowoc County has dropped 12 cents since the same time last week, and now averages $3.36.

Sheboygan County saw an eight-cent drop to $3.34, while Calumet County saw the biggest drop, down 20 cents to an average of $3.32.

In Outagamie County, the average price fell by seven cents to $3.28 per gallon, and Brown County also saw significant relief at the pump, where the average price fell by 16 cents to $3.33 per gallon.

Kewaunee County reported the smallest drop, at just five cents to $3.39, while drivers in Door County paid an average of nine cents less at the pump this week, or $3.41 per gallon.

The state average fell by the same amount, nine cents, to $3.39, while the national average is $3.44, a decrease of two cents.

In terms of average price, Wisconsin is roughly in the middle of all states.

Fuel is most expensive in Alaska ($4.75), while the cheapest fuel is available in Mississippi, where the average price per gallon is $2.95.
