Gasoline prices in the Rocky Mountain region have risen since last week: Here’s how much

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, regional gasoline prices rose for the second week in a row, averaging $3.44 per gallon of regular gasoline on Monday, up from the previous week’s price of $3.40 per gallon.

The average fuel price in the Rocky Mountain region has increased by about 0 cents since last month. According to the EIA, gasoline prices across the region last year were as low as $2.67 on January 22, 2024, and as high as $4.07 on September 18, 2023.

A year ago, the average price of gasoline in the Rocky Mountain region was 13 percent higher at $3.94 per gallon.

The average price of gasoline in the United States last week was $3.45, putting prices in the Rocky Mountain region about 0.4 percent below the national average. The average national price of gasoline is down from last week’s average of $3.48 per gallon.

Prices in the Rocky Mountain states, as determined by the U.S. Energy Information Administration, include Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah and Wyoming.
