GOOD HOPE, Alabama – The Good Hope City Council held its second August meeting at Good Hope City Hall on Monday evening and passed a new resolution to take the next step in its multi-purpose storm shelter/community center project. The council passed Resolution No. 021-2024 to enter into a contract with Terracon Consultants, Inc. to provide geotechnical engineering services on the site. The project is located west of the intersection of Beech Grove Road and Daystar Drive in Good Hope.

The council also announced that joint efforts with the City of Cullman to prepare and pave Industrial Park Road from REHAU in the Town of Cullman to Lindsey Road in the Town of Good Hope also began Monday.

Good Hope also recently completed a project connecting sewer lines from County Road 222 to the housing development on Mize Road North. City Planner Corey Harbison said the developer will install sewer lines and a pumping station and after the city completes inspections, the developer will be able to connect its lines directly to the city’s existing gravity lines.

The council also granted a manufacturing license to Ethos Craft Brewing LLC and Bloom Winery so they could change their names as one company to E and B LLC.

The Sizzlin’ Seniors of Good Hope meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday and the City Council will hold its next regular meeting on Monday, September 9 at 6:30 p.m.
