Good Smile Company’s new Fullmetal Alchemist release gives Ed his best anime ending

Although the anime and manga have long since been completed, Fullmetal Alchemist remains an iconic and beloved franchise. Based on the alchemical adventures of two brothers, the series’ latest action figure depicts the fate of one of the brothers at the end of the story.

The new Edward Elric Nendoroid figure from Good Smile Company shows the appearance of the character at the end of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Fans can recreate the final moments of the anime and manga with this adorable collectible, complete with numerous accessories. The book will be released next year, and fans who order it from Good Smile Company can also receive a special bonus.

A charmingly evil new Nendoroid action figure that perfectly portrays the cruel cunning of Berserk’s Griffith is available for pre-order internationally.

The new “Nendoroid Edward Elric: Final Episode Ver. Figure” from Good Smile Company is the latest of the company’s many Nendoroid toys. Several previous releases are also based on the Fullmetal Alchemist Franchise. In this case, the collectible shows the older version of Ed as seen in the finale of the Fullmetal Alchemist Manga series by Hiromu Arakawa and the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Anime. The figure wears a jacket and a ponytail and has multiple faces, allowing it to smile, blush, and look happy on fans’ shelves.

The Edward Elric Nendoroid also comes with a duffel bag/suitcase accessory and a hammer. These items bring to life the final scenes in the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood story, with the final episode of the original anime series (which did not feature this ending) now being nearly 20 years old. Other additional pieces include hand accessories needed for certain poses, including recreating the iconic “clap” alchemy move. Although the toy won’t ship until Q2 2025, it’s available for pre-order now from Good Smile Company for $39.99. Those who secure their copy early can also score a special round base courtesy of the company (while supplies last).
