Green Bay Packers win milestone despite Jordan Love’s absence

The Green Bay Packers became the first NFL franchise to reach 800 wins after defeating the Indianapolis Colts 16-10 on Sunday.

Despite starting quarterback Jordan Love’s injury last week, backup Malik Willis picked up a win and his first career touchdown, a 14-yard pass to Dontayvion Wicks in the first quarter.

However, running back Josh Jacobs was understandably the center of the game plan with 32 runs for 151 yards.

Four touchdowns by New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara led his team to a convincing 44-19 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

Derek Carr threw for 243 yards, two touchdowns, an interception and a one-yard running score as the Saints recorded their second straight wide win.

Debutant Austin Siebert kicked seven field goals, while Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels survived an injury scare to secure the first victory of his NFL career with a 21-18 triumph over the New York Giants.

Daniels completed 23 of 29 passes for 226 yards and gained an additional 44 yards on the ground, with all of the points coming from Siebert’s kick – only Rob Bironas, who played for the Tennessee Titans against the Houston Texans in 2007, scored more field goals in an NFL game.

Jason Myers’ 31-yard field goal provided the thrilling finale as the Seattle Seahawks beat the New England Patriots 23-20 in overtime.

The Minnesota Vikings are the only NFC North team with a perfect record through the first two games of the season, defeating the Super Bowl runner-up San Francisco 49ers 23-17. Sam Darnold scored touchdowns for Justin Jefferson and Jalen Nailor against his former team.

The Baltimore Ravens, meanwhile, suffered their second consecutive loss after the Las Vegas Raiders overcame a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter and secured the 26-23 victory with a 38-yard field goal by kicker Daniel Carlson.

The score was much more even at Bank of America Stadium, where the Los Angeles Chargers totaled 222 rushing yards in their convincing 26-3 victory over the host Carolina Panthers.

The Cleveland Browns rebounded from their Week 1 loss to Dallas with an 18-13 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars as quarterback Deshaun Watson completed 22 of 34 passes for 186 yards and scored the Browns’ only touchdown.

The New York Jets also secured their first win of the season, while the Tennessee Titans slipped to 0-2 with a score of 24-17.

A weakening Detroit Lions offense ended with a 20-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who won their first two games of the season.
