A high-end grocery store will close several of its iconic locations as the company files for bankruptcy.
Pusateri’s Fine Foods, a Toronto-based grocer, filed for bankruptcy on Tuesday and announced that it would consolidate stores and keep only its main store open.

The grocery chain announced that it would close Bayview Village, Yorkville and Little Italy, as well as the warehouse that supplied its stores with products, CP24 reported.
“It is important to note that Pusateri’s Avenue Road will not be negatively affected by this restructuring,” said Paolo Pusateri, the grocer’s marketing director.
“On the contrary, these steps are being taken to strengthen and ensure the long-term success of this location. They enable a clearer focus on delivering a compelling customer experience with products and services of exceptional quality.”
Pusateri’s flagship store on Avenue Road and its Sax Fifth Ave location remain open.

“We are convinced that these difficult changes can ensure the long-term sustainability of the company,” said Pusateri.
“That is why we are deeply saddened by these changes and understand that this is disappointing news for our customers and the community.”
Fine Foods grocery store is just one of many small businesses forced to close.
A popular Mexican restaurant in New York City recently closed after 52 years in business.
Mexico Linda sent a long, heartfelt message to its longtime customers after announcing its closure on July 31.
Antonio and Leonor Bonilla opened the restaurant in 1972, but it has since been taken over by their children.
“After 52 wonderful years of serving NYC, we will be closing Mexico Lindo Restaurant on July 31,” the statement began.
“It has been a lifelong honor to enrich your life celebrations with our family traditions, home-cooked meals and loving hospitality. We are proud to have been such a big part of your lives. With great love and appreciation, we say adios.”
The store thanked its friends, family and customers for their years of support.
“We would like to thank all of our family, friends and great customers who have made it possible for us to be here all these years.”
Most importantly, the note honored the original founders, Antonio and Lenor.
“They have instilled in us a hard work ethic, the power of positivity and the art of hospitality. We know our father Tony is looking down on us with his glass of red wine and smiling.
“Thanks to our mother Leo, who continues to give us the strength and wisdom we need for our next steps.”
In an Instagram post from July 18, fans of the restaurant mourned the closure.
“One of the last remaining gems in New York, chorizo and guacamole and my personal favorite steak with onions!!!
“I love you and will be there,” commented one customer.
