The big “MeinBezirk Family Festival” marked the end of the western season in Lucky Town Großpetersdorf with a varied program of games and fun.
GROSSPETERSDORF. The “MyDistrict Family Festival” took place on Saturday in the Western town Lucky Town Großpetersdorf A cloudburst delayed the festival a little, but Almost 1,000 visitors All generations did not let this stop them from coming to Lucky Town.
Together with the Children’s Friends Burgenland The marketing team from MeinBezirk Burgenland put together an extensive and varied family program. All bars and the saloon were open. The children’s shop had various sweets and souvenirs, and Geier’s Western Store had countless accessories for Wild West fans. The physical well-being was well taken care of with Lucky Town – Western specialties from the open-air kitchen.
Photo box and goal wall
MyDistrict Burgenland stand with the Photo box for cool cover photos to take home. There was also a Goal-shooting wallwhere small prizes could be won if the ball landed in the net.
During the day, DJ “12Inch” for music in the western town. From 6 p.m. onwards, the saloon hosted excellent country music from the “Landwanderer” (Alex Kiss and Mike Dafert). Enchanted and amazed Magician Patrick Kulo with his children’s magic show the young and older visitors of the western town.
Versatile program
The games and hands-on stations included archery, pony rides, tattoo brushing, a carousel, a goal-shooting wall, various craft stations, a button station, face painting and glitter tattoos, bouncy castles, giant games, some motor skills stations and a toddler area with a baby bouncy castle.
In addition, all children receive a free “Lucky Dog”, pony rides and a goodie bag with small gifts.
28 years of Western Town
In 1997, Fritz, Sascha and Uncle Mike built their own western town. Originally on a small scale near the former train station, Lucky Town has been at its current location since 2001.
Every Monday from the beginning to the end of August, the “Wild West” celebrates its comeback and captivates young and old alike. With the flair of the prairie, lots of family passion and pure regionality – with pastries and cakes from the Pock bakery or meat from Loschy in Großpetersdorf – the Wurglits family has been attracting thousands from near and far for 28 years now – guests even come from the USA every year. This mixture was also the reason why Lucky Town was able to win the “Burgenland Regionality Award”.
