Harris-Trump debate: Democratic governor warns Kamala Harris before debate with Trump: “He won against Hillary and Biden”

A week before the highly anticipated face-off between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris on ABC News, for which both camps are revising their strategy, the Democratic governor JB Pritzker said it would be wrong to underestimate Donald Trump. Although Kamala Harris has great skills, she should be wary of him and make her arguments persistently without being rattled by an overbearing Trump, the Democratic governor said, claiming that while the CNN debate between Trump and Biden has little value now that Biden has dropped out of the race, it can be said that Trump won that debate. He also won the debate against Hillary Clinton, the governor said.
“We should not think that Kamala Harris can win a debate any better than Donald Trump,” Pritzker continued. “They will emerge as serious rivals with very, very different viewpoints.”
The entry of Kamala Harris into the campaign changed all the electoral equations, and now it’s a very close race between Harris and Donald Trump. The campaign has become brutal, with Trump pulling no punches in attacking Kamala Harris, and a resurgent Democratic campaign fighting back – in style.
Pollster Frank Luntz said the debate will now be crucial for voters. “When voters see the two candidates side by side and listen to what they say, not just the answers but the body language. Is there contempt? Are people crossing their arms? Are they looking at the candidate when they speak? Do they appear presidential in their posture?” Luntz explained.
There were initial problems with the debate because Donald Trump did not want ABC to be the platform. And then the Kamala Harris team wanted to change the rules – they wanted the debate to be seated and have the microphones on. But ABC News denied the request and from now on the same rules apply to the debate as the Biden-Trump debate on CNN.
