Have the Buffalo Bills’ expectations changed after two games?

Have the Buffalo Bills’ expectations changed after two games?

Welcome back to our Weekend Chat, Buffalo Bills fans. This is our last Weekend Chat before the Bills game this Sunday, and I’ve saved the biggest topic of discussion for this weekend.

A week ago, the Bills were 0-0 and I asked if this season was “Super Bowl or bust” for you. After 70 comments from every possible angle of the conversation, we moved on to a football Sunday.

Since then, the Bills have beaten the Arizona Cardinals and brought down their AFC East rival, the Miami Dolphins. Buffalo is currently the only 2-0 team in the NFL.

So have your expectations changed?

Buffalo was without starting defensive back Taron Johnson, but it is likely a short-term injury as he was not placed on the injured list prior to Thursday’s game. The news may not be as good for starting linebacker and team captain Terrel Bernard, who left the game with a chest injury that could result in a lengthy time off the field.

On the other hand, they have shown that their offense can be explosive, versatile and dynamic. They can rely on Josh Allen in key moments, but also that their offensive line will play well and their players are solid. And the injured defense has struck time and time again to make plays.

My expectations are not based on regular season success, but it’s nice that some of the things we hoped for this season have come together early on. We’ll see if they can continue to outperform the competition in January and February. I still expect the Bills to win the division, and once you’re in the playoffs, anything is possible.

Feel free to chat about this or any other topic you’re interested in in the weekend comments section. This is your place for socializing.

Welcome to the weekend, Buffalo Bills Fans. After a long week, it’s time to blow off some steam. Use this thread to talk about… well, whatever you want to talk about. Maybe you want to share a cool story from your week.
