High school football returns to Fenway Park this Thanksgiving

This season, high school football games will again be played at Fenway Park during the week of Thanksgiving.

Eight high school football teams will play their Thanksgiving rivalry games at the home of the Boston Red Sox on the Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The team announced the news via press release on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, November 26, Nantucket will face Martha’s Vineyard at 5:00 p.m., followed by Stoneham vs. Reading at 7:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, November 27, Lawrence will face Central Catholic at 4:00 p.m., followed by Swampscott vs. Marblehead at 6:30 p.m.

The second game of each day begins approximately 40 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

In 2022, Brockton retired coach Peter Colombo with a 31-20 win over Bridgewater-Raynham at Fenway. BC High also picked up two wins at Fenway in the last decade, defeating archrival Catholic Memorial 13-10 in 2015 and 32-16 in 2017.
