INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Tickets for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s annual holiday show, the AES Indiana Yuletide Celebration, are now on sale.
Shows at the Hilbert Circle Theater begin Friday, December 6th and run through Monday, December 23rd.
It’s a celebration designed to put you and your family in the holiday spirit, and it’s a holiday tradition that dates back to 1986.
Over 400 families have participated in the Christmas Party for at least 10 years in a row, and for thousands, the Christmas Party continues to be an integral part of their holiday traditions.
Each performance tells the classic fairy tale “It Was the Night Before Christmas,” the return of the toy soldiers, and the popular tap-dancing Santa Clauses.
“There is a feeling and a spirit about Christmas that not only makes it a great tradition here in Indianapolis, but it appeals to families and of course the music of this season, both sacred and secular,” Jack Everly, principal conductor of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, told News 8.
This year’s event is very special as Sandi Patty will be hosting it for the tenth and final time.
Patty is a graduate of Anderson University and a five-time Grammy Award winner in the gospel music category.
Everly told News 8 how special it is that Patti is coming back for her final shows at the Hilbert Circle Theater.
“Sandi has come to embody so much of what the true spirit of the Christmas party is,” said the conductor. “Anyone who is lucky enough to see her will probably also find that she has a wonderful sense of humor, and that goes down very well at the Christmas party.”
Joining Patty’s Christmas celebrations are award-winning artist Curtis Bannister, nationally renowned dance troupe Expressenz, stage and screen star Susie Mosher and Sherry Hong of ISO.
Tickets are available on the ISO website. Adult tickets range in price from $36.40 to $109. Child tickets are cheaper and available for children 12 and under. Valet parking is also available.
The first show of the AES Indiana Yuletide Celebration 2024 begins on December 6th at 7:30 p.m.
