Hollins Market restaurant Rooted Rotisserie asked popular social media food critic Keith Lee to come by and try their food. Lee accepted the invitation and posted a rave review on TikTok over the weekend.

Lee has 16.5 million followers on TikTok, 2.3 million followers on Instagram, 357,000 followers on Facebook, and 109,000 followers on YouTube.

Lee’s Rooted Rotisserie review, which has been viewed 1.3 million times and liked 233,300 times, features the Truffle Frites with white truffle aioli, the Quick Fried Brussels Sprouts, the Roast Chicken, the Duck Confit Gumbo, the LIB Wings, the Tenorio Canned Portuguese Tuna, and the Pineapple Lemonade.

“One of my favorite restaurants in a long time,” Lee said at the end of his review.

He enjoyed all of the food, but gave the gumbo and fried chicken the highest ratings.

Lee left a $4,000 tip and an additional $2,000 to pay for the food of customers already in the restaurant.

Rooted Rotisserie was opened in 2023 at 1116 Hollins St. by husband and wife team Joseph Burton and Amanda Ngangana. The space had previously been vacant for several years but was once home to the Cultured Pearl Café.
