A new study has revealed which states have the greatest desire to renovate. Florida ranks fourth in terms of the greatest willingness to renovate its properties.
The study, conducted by real estate firm New Jersey Real Estate Network, analyzed 50 different search terms related to remodeling projects over the past 12 months, such as “bathroom remodeling” and “kitchen remodeling.”
These searches were then segmented into local populations to determine which states had the greatest willingness to renovate their homes.
Why is home renovation so popular in Florida?
According to the results, the Sunshine State averaged 423 searches per 100,000 residents per month, which is 38% higher than the national average of 306 searches per 100,000 residents.
The most popular terms searched by Florida residents were “bathroom renovation,” “kitchen renovation,” and “home renovation.”
In Florida, people searched for “bathroom renovation” an average of 23,108 times per month, a 108% increase over the average 11,075 monthly searches for “kitchen renovation.” This suggests that demand for bathroom fixtures and fittings will be significantly higher in the state.
Methodology of house conversion analysis
The data was collected through Google Keyword Planner, which enabled national and state-specific searches for keywords and phrases related to remodeling.
The study analyzed the following 50 key remodeling-related search terms, including “kitchen remodeling,” “bathroom remodeling ideas,” and “basement remodeling costs.”
