Remy faces tough competition from Tiana’s Palace restaurant in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but designing this gourmet restaurant is no easy task.

True to the motto “The Princess and the Frog,” Disney Dreamlight Valley offers Tiana a full-time job in her own restaurant and even a food stand to take care of her physical well-being.

This is all part of the Dapper Delights update, but you won’t find all of the new content as soon as you start the game. Instead, you’ll need to follow a few steps to unlock the Tiana’s Palace restaurant.

How to get to Tiana’s Restaurant

To unlock Tiana’s Palace restaurant, follow Remy’s quest “A Taste for Literature” until Tiana comes to the valley. Then spend time with Tiana or give her gifts until your friendship reaches level 2. Let’s explore each step in detail.

Welcome to the valley, Tiana!

If you don’t have the quest “A Taste for Literature” in your quest log, look in your mailbox for a letter from Remy. The letter is called “A Culinary Evolution!” and after reading it, you will receive “A Taste for Literature.”

To complete A Taste in Literature, you must find a mysterious book in the Glade of Trust, bring it to Remy, ask Moana, Mickey, and Merlin about the book, and cook a brand new recipe for Enchanted Shrimp Étouffée to refresh the villagers’ memories.

Once you complete these tasks, Tiana will join the valley and ask you to build her home in one of the biomes, completing A Taste in Literature.

As far as I know, there is no piano at Chez Remy’s.

To reach friendship level 2 with Tiana, ask her to hang out at your place while you do quests, or give her flowers, rocks, or even some of her favorite items from the gift card.

At friendship level 2, you can speak to Tiana to begin the quest “Back from the Bayou.” The first step of this quest is to place Tiana’s Palace Restaurant somewhere in the valley.

To get the restaurant up and running, you’ll need to set up the food stand and help Tiana with some other repairs until you complete Back From the Bayou.
