How to watch the 2024 Democratic National Convention via streaming

The 2024 Democratic National Convention will take place from Monday, August 19, to Thursday, August 22, at the United Center in Chicago. The program begins at 7 a.m. local time/8 a.m. ET with breakfasts for the delegations, and the event blocks are divided into morning, midday and evening sessions. The primetime events take place in the evening starting at 6 p.m. ET.

Networks that will provide extensive coverage of the DNC include ABC, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, PBS and others. Detailed descriptions of the segments and their airtimes on the networks that will broadcast the convention are below.

ABC

ABC News coverage includes one hour of primetime coverage on Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET and two hours on Wednesday and Thursday starting at 9 p.m. ET. Coverage can be accessed on the ABC channel, ABC News Live and Hulu. Primetime coverage will stream on the network’s 24/7 streaming news channel. “World News Tonight” editor David Muir will lead the coverage.

Coverage from Chicago will be anchored by Kyra Phillips beginning at 1 p.m. ET, and anchor Kayna Whitworth will continue coverage beginning at 5 p.m. ET. Lindsey Davis will anchor a special edition of ABC News Live. Prime from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET. Muir will anchor ABC News Live coverage from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET on Monday and Tuesday. ABC News Live will begin simulcasting ABC network programs at 10:00 p.m. ET on Monday and Tuesday and 9:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday and Thursday, and Davis will anchor continuing coverage from 11:00 p.m. to midnight ET. Viewers can also follow coverage on ABC NewsOne, ABC News Live, ABC News Digital, ABC News Radio and. Good morning America.

CNN

CNN’s coverage begins Sunday with anchor Jake Tapper On the state of the nation starting at 9 a.m. ET at the United Center in Chicago. Tapper’s moderated segment will make way for special editions of CNN Newsroom with Jessica Dean and Erin Burnett OutFront, Anderson Cooper 360, The Source with Kaitlan Collins, NewsNight with Abby Phillip And Live by Laura Coates. The CNN-Politico Grill also offers exclusive events in Chicago. Harry Enten will report live and talk to politicians, celebrities and more.

Until Thursday reporting on CNN takes place from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET.

Viewers can follow CNN’s coverage of the Democratic National Convention on CNN.com/DNC, via live stream with cable login on CNN.com, on CNN Connected TV and mobile apps (where available), CNN International, CNN en Español, and on CNN Max for Max subscribers.

CNN en Español will begin coverage on Sunday. Correspondents will report news throughout the network’s schedule and on CNNEspanol.com. Starting Monday, lead political anchor Juan Carlos López will Directly from the USA live all week for Chicago viewers. CNN en Español will cover the convention on Wednesday and Thursday from 9 p.m. to midnight ET.

CNN International coverage is Sunday from 7:00 p.m. to midnight ET and Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. ET.

C-SPAN

C-SPAN reports live from Chicago Sunday through Thursday on C-SPAN, C-SPAN.org and the C-SPAN Now app.

FOX NEWS

Fox News Media’s DNC programming will air Sunday through Friday on Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, Fox News Audio, Fox News Digital and Fox Nation.

Coverage begins at 10 a.m. ET on Sunday and runs until 9 a.m. PT/ET. Monday through Thursday, coverage includes the primetime hours at 10 p.m. ET and 11 p.m. ET, as well as various segments from either 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET or 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET. FBN’s live programming from Chicago includes Varney & Co. (9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. ET) and The conclusion at 6:00 p.m. ET. FBN will also broadcast the evening’s speeches from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET, followed by a simulcast of the FNC program at 10:00 p.m. ET.

MSNBC

MSNBC provides complete coverage and analysis. Coverage begins Monday through Thursday at 6 p.m. ET, with the final segment beginning at midnight ET.

MSNBC on YouTube will broadcast the DNC live in full for all four days. Both MSNBC.com and the MSNBC app will feature a series of analysis and reaction from the convention throughout the week, starting with columns from anchors, analysts and contributors.

NBC

NBC News’ special primetime coverage includes Lester Holt and Savannah Guthrie headlining more than seven hours of daily coverage on television, streaming and via NBCNews.com and the NBC News app. Holt and Guthrie anchor the evening news segments Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. and Wednesday and Thursday from 9-11 p.m.

Holt also hosts special editions of NBC Evening News live from Chicago at 6:30 p.m. ET on all four nights of the DNC. Guthrie will co-host Today from the host city beginning at 7:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Additional coverage of the convention will be available from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. ET.

NEWSMAX

Newsmax will begin DNC coverage on Monday with live broadcasts from three locations at the United Center.

The shows will be hosted during the week at their usual times and by their hosts. Bianca De La Garza will host her show, Newslinefrom noon to 2 p.m. ET from the United Center. At 4 p.m. ET, John Bachman and Bianca De La Garza provide reporting and analysis from the Newsmax desk. At 8 p.m. ET, Rob Finnerty hosts Prime News live from San Francisco. Greg Kelly and Mercedes Schlapp round off the coverage every evening from 10 p.m. to midnight.

Bachman will report live on Newsmax’s streaming channel N2.

SPECTRUM NEWS

Spectrum News will provide extensive coverage via the Spectrum News app on mobile, Xumo Stream Box, Roku and Apple TV streaming devices. During the four-day event, Spectrum News reporters, including chief national reporter Josh Robin, as well as Kevin Frey, Evan Kaslof, Taylor Popielarz and Cassie Semyon will lead the coverage.

Spectrum News NY1 political anchor Errol Louis will host special programs recapping the day’s events each night in prime time on all Spectrum stations from 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. ET and again from 10:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. ET.

PBS

PBS’s live coverage begins Monday at 8 p.m. ET. Coverage from Chicago includes reports from PBS NewsHour White House correspondent Laura Barrón-López and senior correspondent Judy Woodruff, analysis of WashingtonPost Opinion writer Jonathan Capehart, New York Times Columnist David Brooks and Cook Political Report Editor-in-Chief Amy Walter. All coverage will be co-anchored by Amna Nawaz and Geoff Bennett. PolitiFacts fact-checking reporting and research will appear across PBS News as part of a partnership for the 2024 election cycle.
