How to watch the Philadelphia Phillies and Mets games on Friday: channel, stream and lineups

The Philadelphia Phillies are just one win away from securing their third consecutive playoff spot.

After losing the first game of their four-game weekend series to the New York Mets, the Phillies are looking to end their two-game losing streak and finally punch their ticket to October.

Philadelphia will rely on left-hander Cristopher Sanchez (10-9, 3.24 ERA) on Friday.

In his last start, Sanchez allowed one earned run on six hits and one walk and had seven strikeouts in seven innings against the Mets.

Last week was his second start against New York this season and he allowed four earned runs on 13 hits and four walks while recording 12 strikeouts in 12 2/3 innings.

Although his start will be Friday at Citi Field, Sanchez has been a much better pitcher this year at Citizens Bank Park.

In 16 home games, the left-hander achieved an ERA of 2.05 over 105 1/3 innings with a WHIP of 0.96 and 95 strikeouts.

However, in 13 away starts, Sanchez has a 5.13 ERA over 66 2/3 innings with a 1.67 WHIP and 47 strikeouts.

The Phillies need something closer to Sanchez’s home stadium today to stay in the game.

In his last start, Peterson allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk and had six strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings against the Phillies.

Friday will be only his second start against Philadelphia this season.
