Hunter Woodhall and Tara Davis-Woodhall are a golden couple!

The pair came full circle at the Paralympic Games on Friday 6 September after Hunter won the gold medal in the men’s T62 400m – four weeks and one day after Tara won gold in the women’s long jump at the Paris Olympics.

Following his come-from-behind victory, the 25-year-old former University of Arkansas star ran to the stands to hug Tara, echoing the viral hug that followed her Olympic victory.

“I am so proud of you,” 25-year-old Tara was heard saying to her husband.

After letting Tara go, he let out an enthusiastic “Yeah!” to the other family members as he celebrated.

Tara posted a video of the race on their shared Instagram account and wrote: “HUNTER WOODHALL IS A PARALYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST. HIS MOMENT AND HE SEIZED IT.”

Shortly after crossing the finish line in first place, Woodhall elatedly ripped the paper with his name on it from his jersey and held it up to the cameras. On the back was the name of his late uncle Wyatt Woodhall and the words: “This one’s for you.”

The runner, who had both legs amputated and was born with fibular hemimelia, a condition that prevents the normal development of the lower limbs, won the bronze medal in the same event at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.

Following her own win last month, Tara spoke to reporters, including PEOPLE, about the bond she has with her husband.

“He is my biggest supporter and I think the whole world has seen how much he supports me,” she said.

A day after his wife won gold, he posted a nice post on Instagram celebrating her success.

“I can’t put into words how proud I am of you. There was no luck involved, you earned this. Discipline, work ethic and grit. These are the moments and this is your moment. Enjoy it ❤️,” he wrote under a photo of the couple posing in front of the Eiffel Tower.
