Intersect Power donates generously to FIND Food Bank

Through a collaboration between FIND Food Bank and Intersect Power, over $100,000 has been provided to local food banks in Riverside County since 2023.

Intersect Power is a clean energy company that develops and operates low-carbon power for its customers. Since last year, the company has made donations to support FIND Food Bank food distribution sites located near the company’s solar and battery storage projects to better address the issue of food insecurity in those areas. It has also donated $40,000 to support the Blythe Emergency Food Pantry – Food Distribution Center, located near Intersect’s Athos III solar and battery storage project, and $50,000 to FIND and the Set Free Desert Center Food Pantry in Desert Center, the community closest to the company’s Oberon solar and battery storage project.

“At Intersect Power, we believe our commitment to community extends beyond our projects,” said Elizabeth Knowles, Director of Community Engagement at Intersect Power. “We are honored to partner with FIND Food Bank, an organization whose impactful efforts are critical in fighting hunger and supporting those in need.”

Intersect Power’s contributions to FIND also extended to its employees. Employees from Intersect Power and the local International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) participated in FIND’s mobile community market distribution at the Blythe Emergency Food Pantry, which provided food to approximately 200 families in need in the area.

“Intersect Power’s generosity has had a lasting impact on our ability to serve the Riverside County community,” said Debbie Espinosa, President and CEO of FIND Food Bank. “Their contributions help us provide essential food and resources to those experiencing food insecurity. We are incredibly grateful for their partnership and commitment to our mission.”
