Investigation continues on Turnpike Street in North Andover, MA – NBC Boston

On Monday, two people were found dead in a home in North Andover, Massachusetts. One day later, there are still many questions about what happened.

The Essex County District Attorney’s Office confirmed it is investigating a case involving two victims at a home on Turnpike Street, but declined to provide further details about the incident.

North Andover police are still searching for the person responsible for both deaths.

Officials initially said Monday that one person had died and another was seriously injured. They later said the second person had died after being taken to a local hospital. The names of the victims were not released.

It is unclear whether the two people knew each other, how old they are and what exactly caused the injuries.

Local residents said the whole thing came as a shock to them.

“It’s surprising when you come home from work and suddenly 114 is closed,” says Tom Anthony, who lives nearby.

“It’s quite scary, to be honest,” said Katrina MacLean, who lives nearby. “It’s just a nice community and this kind of thing is happening more and more in this area.”

The police assume that this was an isolated incident and that there was no major danger to the population.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call North Andover Police.
