Hmmm, that sounds weird… and it sounds like this person’s manager might be doing something illegal!

Here’s what happened: A waiter named Alex posted a video on TikTok telling viewers what happened on his first day of work at a steakhouse.

Alex told viewers, “Why is this like a labor camp? This is a job, okay? Not like a damn prison. So, is this legal?”

He said his first day of work was at a steakhouse and he worked a nine-hour shift from 3 p.m. to midnight, with no breaks and no food.

Alex also said that the restaurant’s employees are not allowed to eat there unless it is more than two hours before or after their shift because the managers don’t want customers to see the employees eating there… hmmmm…

He said: “After the first day, I’m not so excited about working here anymore.”

He added that one of his colleagues had told him that he had previously completed a 12-hour training day there without eating, to which Alex replied: “That can’t be legal.”

Alex also said that employees are not allowed to park in the same parking lot next to customers’ cars, adding: “I know this steakhouse is very upscale and they care a lot about their image, but it’s kind of gotten to the point where they treat us like we’re scum. I feel like I’m in The bear.”

Wow…
