More than a year and a half after the final closure of Planet Hollywood in Disney Village, building permits have shown that the premises will be handed over to an Italian restaurant.
New Italian restaurant in Disney Village
Disney Village is an area outside the Disneyland Paris theme parks with restaurants, shopping, and live entertainment. It is similar to Disney Springs and Downtown Disney District. The Entertainment District’s version of Planet Hollywood closed permanently on January 7, 2023.
DLP Works has now discovered a new building permit dated July 16, 2024 for an Italian restaurant to take over the old Planet Hollywood location.
Rumor has it that the new restaurant will be run by Groupe Bertrand, which also runs the neighborhood’s new French restaurant, Brasserie Rosalie, and The Royal Pub, both of which opened last year.
Disney Village has undergone a major transformation. Work in this area includes a complete remodel of the Sports Bar, a transformation of the Disney Store into Disney Wonders, the opening of a Disney Home Store (replacing Disney Fashion Junior), a Disney Lifestyle Shop, a new McDonald’s, and general landscaping and lighting updates. Emblems representing each Disney Park returned to the entertainment district last year.
