It’s rodeo time at Cattlemen Park

Put on your boots and spurs and hitch up your horse. It’s rodeo time at Cattleman Park.

The Pike County Cattleman’s 31stst The Professional Cowboys Association’s annual rodeo will be held at Cattleman Park on Friday and Saturday evenings, August 25 and 26. Over 100 cowboys and cowgirls from across Alabama and several other states will compete in eight exciting rodeo events.

Cattleman Johnny Garrett said the Pike County Cattlemen’s 2024 Rodeo opens its gates at 5 p.m. Friday, with the rodeo beginning at 7:30 p.m. and at 4 p.m. Saturday for the Kids’ Western Festival at 1 p.m. The PCA rodeo begins at 7:30 p.m. both nights.

Admission is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Ages 12 and up and under are admitted free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult.

Advance tickets are available at the Troy Bank & Trust main branch, Don Walker’s Western Wear, Banks Buy-Right and Piggly Wiggly Brundidge.

Garrett encourages all rodeo fans to come early, eat, shop and ride the mechanical bull.

“The Pike County Cattlemen will be serving their famous rodeo burgers and rodeo dogs on the grill, dill pickles on skewers and chips and more at the park.

Everyone is invited to the “Rodeo” on August 25th and 26th at Cattleman Park.
