It’s still an exciting summer at EKW State Park

It’s still an exciting summer at EKW State Park

You’ll be a super parent when you take your kids to Edness Kimball Wilkins State Park for a fun-filled summer day. School starts sooner than you think, and taking your kids to EKW Day is just what the doctor ordered. The day will be jam-packed with things to do. For example:

  • Cornhole
  • Slide
  • Kite building & kite flying
  • Furs and skulls
  • Shaved ice

The only fee is the park entrance fee, which is $7 per vehicle for Wyoming residents and $12 for non-residents. Northern Ice Shaved, a food truck, will also be selling shaved ice in the park.

Don’t miss this cool end of summer party on Saturday, August 10th.

EKW State Park is the perfect picnic spot, located 6 miles east of Casper on old Glenrock Highway 20/26. There are over 40 picnic areas and a perfect way to spend time with the family.

After this event, there is just one more fun outing before school starts again: Paddling on the Pond on Thursday, 8/15. If you don’t have much experience with a paddleboard, kayak, or canoe, this is a great opportunity to learn in a safe and relaxed environment.
