Jason Kelce continued his streak of “titty” words on national television.
“My tits are feeling a lot better today,” Kelce, 36, said on the Monday, Sept. 16 episode of Monday Night Countdown after attending a barbecue with fans in Philadelphia.
Kelce made a memorable appearance during last week’s show when he had to rush and find a new wardrobe at the last minute after leaving his duffel bag in a truck. Kelce wore a long-sleeved white collared shirt that exposed part of his chest between the buttons as he sat with the commentators.
“Now it fits my stomach, I’ve lost a little weight,” Jason said during the show. “But my tits are still a problem.”
The interaction quickly went viral and Jason’s brother, Travis Kelcecommented on the debacle. “Surprised he even bought a new one and didn’t just walk around shirtless,” 34-year-old Travis joked in the comments section of ESPN’s Instagram post.
Travis continued to poke fun at his brother on the Wednesday, September 11, episode of the siblings’ podcast, “New Heights.”
“You drove to the Bay Area for your first appearance on Monday Night Countdown and forgot to pack a shirt for Jason,” Travis joked. (Longtime podcast listeners know that Jason forgot to bring pants to the premiere of his Prime Video documentary. Kelcein September 2023, and tried to blame his wife for the mishap, Kylie Kelce. “Why didn’t Jason bring jeans for Jason?” Travis asked in an episode of “New Heights”.)
Travis laughed about Jason causing chaos “within the first 30 seconds” of his new appearance. “Taylor and I watched it and laughed our heads off,” he added. “It was perfect to prepare everyone for what they were going to experience over the next 18 weeks (of the season).”
Travis then asked, “Do we think this is the first time ‘tits’ has been said on ESPN?” Jason, for his part, wasn’t sure. “I don’t know. I was asked on Twitter and… ‘tits’ is a weird word.”
Jason pointed out that it was “not against the rules” to say the word on TV, but it was “something you wouldn’t normally say” during a live show. Travis noted that there couldn’t have been a better word. “Those buttons were just hanging on by a thread,” he joked.
A few days later, 32-year-old Kylie celebrated her husband’s new job – but gave him some advice for his next live broadcast.
“Training camp looked a little different this year. Seeing you at the Linc on Monday will be a little different too,” Kylie wrote on Instagram on Saturday, September 14. “Just know that (our three daughters) and I are excited to cheer you on in this new chapter!”
She added: “Maybe you should try not saying ‘tits’ this week?”
Jason landed the job on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown after retiring from the NFL following 13 seasons as center for the Philadelphia Eagles. Jason returned to Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Monday as the team prepared to play the Atlanta Falcons.
