Anthony spoke with Andrew Romano, who covers the presidential campaign for Yahoo News, about Trump’s town hall meeting today.

Andrew: No. Let me summarize: Harris simply committed to the debate that Biden and Trump originally agreed to, which was scheduled to air on ABC on Sept. 10. After Harris replaced Biden, Trump pushed for a debate on Fox News on Sept. 4 instead. She declined, so Fox is hosting a solo town hall with Trump.

Andrew: The host is Sean Hannity. He is friends with Trump, so I expect light topics on the economy, Israel and immigration. The town hall meeting will take place in Pennsylvania, the The The state that both candidates absolutely have to win.

Andrew: Just Sept. 10. Trump had also floated a Sept. 25 clash on NBC, but Harris declined. Her camp has said she will debate Trump again in October when he appears on Sept. 10, but she has not offered any further details beyond that.

Go deeper: For this reason, Pennsylvania is crucial to the presidential election campaign.
