The New York Jets look to build on their preseason opener when they travel to face the Carolina Panthers. The Jets will look to keep their momentum going after a dramatic 20-17 win over the Washington Commanders.
While the team’s stars were missing from the season opener, there were notable performances from the younger players. Rookie running back Braelon Allen showed his potential with an outstanding performance, leading all runners with 54 yards.
His ability to break tackles and contribute to the offense was evident. Wide receiver Jason Brownlee, a familiar face from last season’s Hard Knocks, found the end zone in a collision with quarterback Andrew Peasley.
The Jets will face a familiar opponent in Carolina that they dominated in preseason play last year, but the Panthers will pose a different challenge this time around as quarterback Bryce Young continues to develop.
