Jim Harbaugh was thrilled after receiving the game ball for his first win as Chargers coach

Jim Harbaugh’s return to the NFL was triumphant: The Los Angeles Chargers won their first home game on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders (22:10).

After the game, Harbaugh commanded the Chargers’ locker room as only he could. Standing in the middle of the room, Harbaugh told his teammates that he and the other rookies in the organization were “the lucky ones.”

Owner Dean Spanos entered the room with two game balls in tow and was overjoyed to hand one to Harbaugh, who was equally happy to receive the ball for his first win with the franchise.

Harbaugh held the ball in his arms and bowed to Spanos before letting out an excited yell and pumping the football into his fist. The 60-year-old grinned from ear to ear as he soaked up the feeling of victory with his new team.

Harbaugh then handed the ball off to running back JK Dobbins, who had an outstanding game after missing most of the 2023 season with a knee injury. Dobbins ran for 135 yards on just 10 attempts and scored a touchdown, his first foray into the end zone in nearly a year.

The mood in LA is great and Harbaugh seems to be settling into his new surroundings quickly.
