Jimmy Buffett’s custom fishing boat is now for sale | Tampa

Just a month after one of Jimmy Buffett’s Florida homes hit the market, another piece of Parrothead history is for sale.

A custom-built 42-foot Rybovich Spencer sportfishing boat that Buffett purchased in 2003 and named Last Mango II is now for sale in Montauk, New York, with SI Yachts broker Steve Messenger.

The boat’s name is a reference to Buffett’s 1985 song “Last Mango in Paris.” However, it was purchased by a friend of Buffett’s a few years later and renamed “Blue Eyes,” according to the listing.

“The owner of the boat was a personal friend of Jimmy’s and bought it directly from him,” said Messenger. “Rybovich Spencer had it built specifically for Jimmy Buffett and when it was finished he had the shipyard completely destroy the mold so it could never be copied again.”

According to the listing, Buffett spent nearly 5,000 hours on the ship, commuting between the Florida Keys, the Bahamas and the Hudson Canyon.

“This is the ultimate opportunity for Jimmy Buffett fans to own something that was a huge part of him and his life,” Messenger continued. “Everyone knows his love of the ocean, boating, fishing and that whole lifestyle through his music. I can’t even imagine how amazing it would be to crank up ‘Volcano’, with a cold drink in hand, and go slow fishing in the Bahamas!”

Buffett’s boat is currently priced at $999,000.

In September 2023, Buffett died at the age of 76 from complications of skin cancer.

Buffett is known for his self-described “drunken Caribbean rock’n’roll” and is considered one of the most successful musicians of all time with over 20 million certified records worldwide. Last April, Buffett was selected to be posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the category of “Musical Excellence” in 2024.

In July, Buffett’s historic Palm Beach bungalow also came on the market for $7.25 million.
