Josh Allen sends heartfelt message to Tua Tagovailoa after Dolphins quarterback suffers concussion

Josh Allen sent a heartfelt message to Tua Tagovailoa after the Miami Dolphins quarterback suffered a concussion in the 31-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Tagovailoa left the game in the third quarter after a collision with Damar Hamlin in which he hit his head on the ground.

Tagovailoa suffered two concussions during the 2022 NFL season and his rival Allen reached out to his teammate as the sport awaits an update on the former Alabama star’s condition.

“If you know Tua outside of football, like I do, you can’t help but feel sorry for him,” Allen said on Prime Video. “He’s a great football player, but he’s an even greater human being.”

“He is one of the best people on the planet. I have a lot of love for him and his family and hope everything is OK. It’s tough, this football we play has its ups and downs and this is definitely one of its low points.”

James Cook scored three touchdowns, two of them on the ground, to help the Bills to two straight wins to start the season and 11 wins in their last 12 meetings with Miami.

By the time he left, the game was long over as a contest. The Bills had built a 24-10 lead at halftime and extended their lead when Ja’Marcus Ingram returned a Tagovailoa interception 31 yards for a touchdown.

Josh Allen, who threw for 139 yards wearing a glove to protect his injured non-throwing hand, found Cook from 17 yards out to open the scoring. Tagovailoa found De’Von Achane from five yards out to tie the score.

But the Bills pulled away in the second quarter: Tyler Bass scored a 43-yard field goal before Cook scored two touchdowns from one and 49 yards.

Jason Sanders answered with a 34-yard field goal as time expired in the first half, but the Dolphins failed to score any more points in a disappointing second half.
