Juno wins Danskt Mares Derby; Copenhagen Sale in the books

The 24th of Augustth Danskt Stoderby 2024 (prize money 46,431 €, 2000 meter autostart) at the Charlottenlund racecourse in Denmark took the lead with Juno (4f). Big challenger-Opera Line-Super Arnie) with a time of 1.13.1 kr and odds of 2.84/1.

Juno and driver Michael Lonborg win the Danskt Stoderby in Denmark

Michael Lonborg was the winning rider and trainer for owners Nielsen and Hansen. The winning mare was on point at the finish line to secure her fourth career victory in 18 starts, with three wins this year in five appearances.

Ivana Nordic (4f Explosive substance-Thai Tanisha-Credit Winner) took second place with 5.8/1 for rider Jeppe Juel and trainer Nicklas Korfitsen. Third place went to Ibiza Garbo (4f) with 7.8/1. Maharaja-Aure Garbo-Turbo Sund) with Ken Ecce, her driver/trainer.

The annual yearling sale, now known as the Copenhagen Sale, took place on the same evening. 38 lots brought in an average of €10,396.
