Kansai Airports announces retail, restaurant and service offerings for Phase 3 of KIX Terminal 1: Moodie Davitt Report

JAPAN. Kansai Airports today announced a diverse range of shops, dining options and other consumer services for the commercial zone as part of the third phase of the ongoing renovation of Terminal 1 at Kansai International Airport (KIX).

The area will house 13 retail outlets, including duty-free and specialty shops, as well as various service and dining options, in the international departures area on the fourth floor, the international arrivals area on the third floor and the “Tasty Street” food court on the second floor.

The openings are a continuation of KIX’s ambitious development, which last December saw the historic revelation the impressive new Departures area on the airport side of T1. The central area of this area is a 2,500 sqm KIX Duty Free shop, complemented by a specialty, destination and luxury retail area – including boutiques from Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Chaumet, Gucci, Hermès, Bvlgari, Hermès, Prada and Tasaki – as well as an extensive food and beverage offering (including the airport’s first Café Dior by Anne-Sophie Pic).

The Moodie Davitt Report was on site to deliver exclusive worldwide coverage opening last year and will tell you first-hand in spring 2025 when a grand T1 opening takes place.

The completion will be timed to ensure that KIX will be a gateway to Kansai for visitors from all over the world when Expo 2025 Osaka opens (April 13, running until October 13), Kansai Airports promised.
