Karol G dances with Taylor Swift during 2024 VMA performance: Watch

Karol G shared her fiery Latina touch with some of the show’s biggest stars at the VMAs. Karol G graced the 2024 Video Music Awards on Wednesday to perform her current single “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” against a beach backdrop before dancing to her merengue hit alongside Camila Cabello and Taylor Swift.

“Los extraño un montón,” she said at the beginning of the performance. “I miss you all very much!”

Karol G opened her performance in front of the flags of all the countries of Latin America. She then went to the main stage, which had been transformed into a beach bar, and sang for the dancing crowd. The singer walked into the audience and danced alongside Swift and Post Malone before walking up to Cabello to dance a little Cuban-Colombian shimmy.

Karol G, who is on Rolling Stone’s cover from September 2023, is also in the Best Latin category for her song “Mi Ex Tenía Razón” from the Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota season) Mixtape. Addison Rae announced Karol’s appearance on Wednesday.

Cabello, Anitta, Benson Boone, Halsey, Chappell Roan, Karol G, Rauw Alejandro and Sabrina Carpenter are some of the artists taking the stage at this year’s VMAs.

The Colombian superstar last appeared on the VMAs stage in 2023 and performed her outstanding hit from Bichota season“Oki Doki” and her verse from their Brazilian funk collaboration “Tá OK” (the track features Dennis, Maluma and MC Kevin O Chris). At last year’s ceremony, Karol G also appeared on stage to accept her first Moon Person alongside Shakira when they won the award for Best Collaboration for their song “TQG.”

The fourth studio album by Karol G, Mañana is a beautiful placealso included big hits like “Provenza”, “Mientras Me Curo del Cora” and “Amargura”. Monday earned Karol the Latin Grammy for Album of the Year and Best Urban Music Album, as well as the Grammy for Best Música Urbana Album. She followed Monday with the B-side Bichota seasonincluding collaborations with Kali Uchis, Peso Pluma and Ryan Castro.

I have ten times more ambition and vision than I imagined.”

The 2024 Video Music Awards will be broadcast live on MTV from the UBS Arena in Long Island.
