“I will say, now that our house is finished, we might be entertaining a little more, but I love that I said I was old as hell,” Kelly joked. “Guys, I currently have a heating pad around my neck and shoulders.”

Harper also pointed out that Kelly looks 21, which she called “annoying.”

“It’s (just) the lighting, guys,” Kelly noted, adding that she was “jealous” of how Detroit captured Harper and Goff.

Although they miss Michigan, Kelly and 36-year-old Matthew have found their rhythm in the City of Angels.

“There’s a lot going on in Los Angeles, people are supporting us,” Kelly said. “We’re going to stay here when (Matthew retires), we love it here (and) our kids love it here. We’re immersed in the community around us, which is great. But this game (on Sunday, Sept. 8) is going to be electric because of the people in this city and this state. They’re coming.”

The Rams and Lions will face each other in their NFL season opener on Sunday night in Detroit.

“(The fans) don’t come to the sport, but they come,” Kelly said. “That’s what Matthew always said, they put their heads in the sand and get to work. That’s Detroit. They have that determination. I’m so excited for this game.”

Kelly will watch the game on television with her and Matthew’s four daughters and will not travel to Ford Field to see him play in person.

“I’ll be cheering loudly from my couch with my girls,” Kelly added before talking about her newfound Rams fandom. “I can’t believe it’s been four years already, it feels like yesterday. When we got here, Tyler was a baby… and she’s a grown woman, or at least that’s what she thinks. It’s crazy.”
