Kevin Spacey faces eviction from his Baltimore villa after foreclosure, investor claims stalemate

Kevin Spacey is reportedly refusing to vacate his Baltimore mansion after losing the property at a foreclosure auction. The luxury waterfront home, which sits on a pier that juts out into the Patapsco River, was purchased by Bethesda-based investor Sam Asgari at an auction in Baltimore Circuit Court for $3.24 million.

Asgari told the Baltimore Banner that Spacey has refused to leave the property and has instead asked to move out for six months without pay. “Right now, he is refusing to leave,” Asgari explained, adding that he has been forced into negotiations with Spacey’s legal team.

However, Spacey’s attorney, Edward U. Lee III, has denied Asgari’s claims, calling the accusations “false.” The New York Post has reached out to Lee for further comment, but no further details were provided.

The 9,000-square-foot mansion, once described as “Baltimore’s most extraordinary home,” served as Spacey’s primary residence after he left the Netflix series House of Cards amid numerous allegations of sexual harassment. Spacey purchased the property in 2017 for $5.65 million, making Asgari’s purchase price significantly lower by comparison.

Asgari, who has made headlines with other notable real estate purchases in Baltimore, has reportedly been trying to take possession of the home for nearly three weeks. He has put down a $100,000 down payment and, once the sale is confirmed in court, could begin eviction proceedings, possibly involving sheriff’s deputies.

The foreclosure was due to Spacey falling behind on his $20,230 monthly mortgage payments. His financial burden was exacerbated by his ongoing litigation and loss of income following his firing from “House of Cards.”

In a recent interview with Piers Morgan, Spacey admitted that he was deeply in debt and unsure of his future living situation. Despite these challenges, Spacey has received support from friends such as Sharon Stone and Liam Neeson, but his Baltimore mansion residency remains at risk.
