Real Madrid started the 2024/25 Champions League season on Tuesday with a comfortable 3-1 win against VfB Stuttgart.

Kylian Mbappe made headlines again when he scored for the third time in a row and scored the first goal against the German team.

Mbappe copies Sergio Ramos’ celebration

This was Mbappe’s first goal for Real Madrid in the Champions League and to mark the special moment, he imitated a famous celebration by Sergio Ramos.

The Frenchman ran towards the crowd and blew a kiss to the camera, a reference to legendary Real Madrid defender Ramos.

Mbappe’s goal came just 20 seconds into the second half when the former PSG superstar took advantage of Rodrygo’s excellent chance creation to score the first goal.

Mbappe’s attempt to imitate Ramos’ celebration suggests that the Frenchman is well aware of his past at Real Madrid – he made that clear at his presentation.

Aside from the goal, it was a solid evening for Mbappe at the Santiago Bernabeu, who tested the Stuttgart goalkeeper on more than one occasion.

Although he certainly wasn’t the best player on the pitch, Mbappe’s goal against Stuttgart will boost his confidence considerably as Real Madrid now prepare for a crucial period.
