Lil Tay’s account claims she has a heart tumor one year after her death – false report

Lil Tay seems to be struggling with health problems.

Over a year after the teenager was implicated in a false death, the verified social media account of the internet personality – whose real name is Tay Tian– gave an update on her health condition.

“Tay has been diagnosed with a life-threatening heart tumor,” she said in a message she posted on Instagram on September 12. “We sincerely ask for everyone’s love and prayers.”

Along with the note, the account also shared what appeared to be a video x-ray of the tumor.

And after some fans expressed concern that this was another case of spreading false information about the 17-year-old, Lil Tay’s account clarified that “there is indeed something wrong there.”

“This time she is in intensive care,” said a second message sent to her X account on September 12. “She has been diagnosed with a heart tumor.”

The following day, the account posted another update, telling its fans on X: “Tay is about to undergo major open heart surgery to remove her heart tumor.”

The message noted that the surgery was a “critical procedure” and added: “We ask for your prayers for a successful surgery.”

In light of this news, fans expressed their support and best wishes for Tay, with one user writing on X: “NO I hope she recovers.”

E! News reached out to Lil Tay’s rep for comment but did not receive a response.

The health announcement comes over a year after a statement was posted on Lil Tay’s account claiming that she and her older brother Jason were both dead.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the sudden and tragic death of our beloved Claire,” the Instagram message from August 2023 reads. “We have no words to express the unbearable loss and indescribable pain. This outcome was completely unexpected and has shocked us all.”

Shortly afterwards, Lil Tay’s management confirmed her death to diversityalthough both her father Christopher Hoffen and her former manager Harry Tsang would neither confirm nor deny her death when contacted by insider.

But Lil Tay soon put an end to the false news with her own statement.

“I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I am completely heartbroken and struggling to even find the right words,” the social media star said in a family statement to TMZ in August 2023. “It has been a very traumatic 24 hours. All day yesterday I was bombarded with endless heartbreaking and tearful phone calls from loved ones as I tried to sort out this mess.”

She added: “My Instagram account was compromised by a third party and used to spread shocking misinformation and rumors about me, to the point that even my name was fake. My real name is Tay Tian, ​​not ‘Claire Hope.'”
