Linkin Park announces new world tour and welcomes singer Emily Armstrong

Linkin Park is going on tour again for the first time since the death of their lead singer Chester Bennington – and some new faces are joining the band.

The Grammy-winning rock band, gearing up for the release of their eighth album, “From Zero,” will embark on the From Zero World Tour this fall, Live Nation announced Thursday. The six-date tour will take them to Los Angeles, New York, Hamburg, London, Seoul, South Korea and Bogota, Colombia.

The arena tour is set to kick off with a concert at LA’s Kia Forum on September 11. Exclusive fan club presales begin Friday, and tickets will be available to the general public on Saturday. Fans can visit LinkinPark.com for more information.

Linkin Park, consisting of Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell and Joe Hahn, is also expanding its lineup for the band’s new musical chapter.

Singer-songwriter Emily Armstrong, co-founder of alternative rock band Dead Sara, joins the nu-metal group as co-vocalist. Meanwhile, rock producer Colin Brittain will serve as the band’s drummer.

Armstrong and Brittain were recruited after the musicians met in the studio during a series of informal sessions with Linkin Park.

“The more we worked with Emily and Colin, the more we enjoyed their world-class talents, their company and the things we created,” Shinoda said in a statement. “We feel truly empowered by this new lineup and the vibrant and energetic new music we’ve made together.”

Bennington, who had been the frontman of Linkin Park since their debut album “Hybrid Theory” in 2000, committed suicide in July 2017 at the age of 41. After his death, the group took a long break.
