LINKIN-PARK has launched a mysterious 100-hour countdown timer on its website and official social media accounts. The same countdown timer was used by the Instagram Account of Welcome to Rockvillewhich fuels speculation that some of the surviving members of the band will appear at the next edition of the Danny Wimmer presents-produced festival scheduled to take place May 15-18, 2025 in Daytona Beach, Florida.
The countdown timer is scheduled to end on Wednesday, August 28th at 11:00 a.m. PDT.
Last May, Billboard reported that LINKIN-PARK considered a possible reunion tour in 2025 with a singer as a replacement for the deceased lead singer Chester Bennington.
LINKIN-PARK‘s booking agency WME He reportedly accepted offers for a possible tour and headlining festival dates where Michael Shinoda, Brad Delson And Dave Farrell, Billboardsources said.
One of the sources said Billboard The LINKIN-PARK hoped to find a female singer as frontwoman for the reunited band, a rumor that was first reported in April by ORGY Frontman Jay Gordon who mentioned in a radio interview that he had “heard” that LINKIN-PARK was now working with a “singer”. When asked Gordon continued, saying, “Don’t quote me on that. I’m not sure who the singer is going to be, but I heard it’s going to be a woman. Maybe they’ll just try to keep it up. She continued, “That’s really sweet. We’ve never… So, have we played shows (together)? I don’t know if (TRANSIENCE And LINKIN-PARK) were together at a festival or something. We met. We were in the studio at the same time. When we ‘Fallen’I only had one or two brief conversations with Chester. He was really sweet.
“But no, that’s not true,” she clarified what the rumors could mean LINKIN-PARK‘s new singer. “But that’s great. You should ask me about it. I don’t have much free time, but maybe I’ll do it part-time.”
In April LINKIN-PARK released a career-spanning greatest hits album, “Papercuts (Single Collection 2000-2023)”. The record also contains a previously unreleased track with Bennington, “Friendly fire”which was recorded during the sessions for the group’s last studio album, the 2017 “Another light”. Bennington died later that year.
