LinkinPark has launched a mysterious 100-hour countdown timer on its website and official social media accounts. The same countdown timer was shared by the Instagram account of Welcome to Rockvillewhich reinforces the long-standing speculation that some of the surviving members of the band will appear on the next edition of the Danny Wimmer presents-produced festival and probably all of their festivals in 2025 as well as other major music festivals. Previous announcements of major bands booked for DWP festivals for the following year, such as Metallica, Slipknot, Foo Fighters, Guns N’ Roses and Pantera will be announced before the full lineups that follow. For months, various people in the music industry have been spreading rumors that some members of Linkin Park will reunite next year for a tour or a tribute tour with a female singer. Rumors related to the band include Amy Lee from Evanescence, Hailey Williams from Paramore, and possibly Deryck Whibley of Sum 41, who will retire at the end of their current tour in January 2025. Linkin Park has been inactive as a regular band since the frontman’s death, except for legacy releases and box sets Chester Bennington in 2017. The countdown timer is scheduled to end on Wednesday, August 28th at 11:00 a.m. PDT.

Last May, Billboard reported that Linkin Park was considering a possible reunion tour in 2025, with a female singer stepping in for late lead singer Chester Bennington.

Linkin Park’s booking agency WME has reportedly fielded offers for a possible tour as well as festival headlining dates featuring Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson and Dave Farrell, sources told Billboard.
