This one’s for the seasoned hip-hop fans. LL Cool J and Eminem take their fans back in time by recreating some unforgettable moments for their “Murdergram Deux” music video, which was released on Wednesday (September 11).

LL and Em traveled to Detroit to capture the nostalgia for the clip directed by JakeTheShooter. The New York legend travels back to 1987 to capture the Bigger and slower (BAD) album cover almost four decades later.

The “Loungin” rapper puts a modern twist on his “Going Back to Cali” visual as he steps out into the black and white fishbowl scene wearing his signature bucket hat. But it’s Eminem who gets the emperor treatment as he pays tribute to Big Daddy Kane Long live Kane album cover. The pair also salutes Death Row’s legendary MOOD Cover from 1996.

“Murdergram Deux” was released before LL Cool J’s The power as a single and marks the first collaboration between the rap icons.

“Give my students your blessing, I’m a professional sniper/ About eight miles away, Marshall and I commit murder/ With dirty burners, break ’em and melt ’em in the furnace,” raps LL Cool J over Q-Tip’s production.

An unfinished version of the track was leaked earlier this year, which frustrated LL. “It’s not AI, but it’s not official. It’s not official, it’s not the right version,” he told Raymond T in late June. “People just all run into the kitchen and touch the rolls before they’re done – you know how your grandmother slaps your hand if you try to check the pots too early. It’s not AI – it’s a real joint.”

LL Cool J’s The power was released on September 6th and is his first album since 2013 Authentic. The LP also features Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Rick Ross, Saweetie, Nas and more.
