The popular fast food chain Matsuya has just opened its first branch in Hong Kong and is the latest addition to the dizzying variety of Japanese RestaurantsKnown for its signature beef rice bowls (gyudon) and various menu items at affordable prices, this popular Japanese chain is sure to delight (and turn!) every foodie in town. Where is Matsuya’s Hong Kong branch and what are its opening hours?

The Japanese fast food restaurant is located in Chuang’s London Plaza in Jordan and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

What’s on the menu at Matsuya in Hong Kong?

In addition to the typical gyudon with various toppings such as spring onions, cheese or grated yams, Matsuya’s menu offers a wide variety of delicious dishes such as rice dishes with grilled meat, rice bowls with hamburger steak, curry rice and breakfast dishes with grilled fish.

What is Matsuya and why is it popular?

Since opening in Tokyo in 1966, this popular restaurant chain has 1,265 branches in Japan and 18 branches overseas. Along with other fast food franchises such as Yoshinoya and Sukiya, Matsuya is one of Japan’s three largest restaurant chains specializing in serving gyudon.

Will Matsuya have multiple locations in Hong Kong?

Although the restaurant has not made any official announcements yet, Jun Hamano, Managing Director of Matsuya Foods Hong Kong Co Limited, has hinted that “we plan to open a second branch in Hong Kong later this year.” Stay tuned to our page for more updates in the future.
